TEAM NEWS: MOTION SERIOUS ABOUT V8 SUPERUTES

V8 SuperUtes front-running team, Team Triton will have a significant boost for the 2024 Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes Series and beyond.

Motion has today announced the renewal and expansion of its highly successful naming rights sponsorship program of the team.

The expansion will see a complete re-brand of the team, transitioning to Team Motion Racing for a multi-year commitment. Along with the re-brand the team will expand to two new Isuzu D-Max, V8-powered SuperUtes with series runner-up, Adam Marjoram returning.

In a major acquisition, reigning series Champion Aaron Borg will also join the outfit for an all-out tilt at series domination.

“We are proud and excited to grow our great partnership with Motion in Australia. As a partnership and team, we laid a solid foundation across many layers internal and external for Motion in 2023. To expand to two V8 SuperUtes, welcome Aaron and retain Adam has been huge. We can wait to get stuck into the year and into the program working with the great people at Motion and their customers. We also certainly won’t be turning our back on the Triton heritage; we have retained that V8 SuperUte and have some great plans for it within the championship.” (Craig Dontas – Team Principal)

In 2023 the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series experienced a breakout year, with great racing, a mass shift in popularity and an invitational round for the VAILO Adelaide 500. The competitor numbers will grow to 24 for the season, showing the series is on a healthy trajectory. The upcoming season is set to be fiercely competitive, and Team Motion Racing are in great shape.

“After a successful first year as key sponsor with Team Triton, I am absolutely delighted to be partnering with the team for the 2024 season in an expanded capacity with the newly named Team Motion Racing. After a very successful series in 2023, we are very excited to see Adam back behind the wheel and equally excited to have Aaron join the team as we expand to two cars. We look forward to another successful year in what is shaping up to be a great series, and look forward to the continued growth of our Motion brand.” (Heath Fitzpatrick – CEO Motion Asia Pacific)
