Bendix ULT4WD\u2019s Dave Casey enjoyed a strong weekend last time out at Winton as he completed of top 10 finishes, though it wasn\u2019t without drama.<\/p>\n
Driving the Bendix ULT4WD Isuzu D-Max in Round 3 of the Haltech V8 SuperUte Series at Winton, Casey needed to familiarise himself with the circuit as he continued to learn the rigours the category provides.<\/p>\n
The pair of practice sessions on Friday left Casey in 10th<\/sup> and 11th<\/sup> ahead of qualifying later in the afternoon. A 1m 39.31s in qualifying placed him 11th<\/sup> for the opening race, which started early the next morning kicking off the program of events.<\/p>\n It was an action packed opening race for the Haltech V8 SuperUtes at Winton as Casey avoided the various incidents encountered by competitors in front to cross the line seventh.<\/p>\n For Race 2, the top seven positions from the opening encounter were inverted to form the grid placing Casey on pole position.<\/p>\n In what was a tough battle, Casey was tapped as he battled for the podium places and recovered to ninth in the end.<\/p>\n Following a big night from the Bendix ULT4WD crew, Casey was out again during the morning to battle in Race 3 and the team were rewarded with eighth.<\/p>\n The final event of the weekend provided further improvement for Casey as set-up tweaks certainly gave benefits as he climbed back to seventh, to be sixth overall for the round.<\/p>\n Casey now sits sixth heading to the next round of the Haltech V8 SuperUte Series at The Bend Motorsport Park on July 30-31.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Bendix ULT4WD\u2019s Dave Casey enjoyed a strong weekend last time out at Winton as he completed of top 10 finishes, though it wasn\u2019t without drama.
