V8 SUPERUTES PAYS TRIBUTE TO ALAN BRADSHAW

This weekend at Bathurst, the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series will honour the life and achievements of a long standing member of the motorsport industry, Alan Bradshaw.

Bradshaw, who passed away three weeks ago today due to illness, not only was a dedicated and long-serving member of YOKOHAMA Australia for 32 years including being CEO, but was an instrumental player in the development of the V8 SuperUtes platform and believer in the Series from day one.

One of the few industry representatives to get behind the newly created racing platform in 2018, Bradshaw put his and YOKOHAMA’s support behind the Series and is the reason the respected brand has been a category partner and supplier of the official control tyre to date.

Tribute stickers are adorning V8 SuperUtes on the front guards next to the YOKOHAMA branding.

Board Director, Luke Sieders, paid tribute to ‘AB’.

“To many, Alan wasn’t just a colleague; he was a friend, mentor, and a steady presence at YOKOHAMA,” said Sieders. “He was a huge believer in the V8 SuperUtes from the very beginning and without him and the support of YOKOHAMA in those early days we wouldn’t be here today.

“Alan was the cornerstone of YOKOHAMA Australia’s motorsport operations, taking the business from a small market share to being a major player in the tyre industry. He leaves behind a huge legacy of passion, professionalism and dedication to the sport that is rarely seen these days. He will be sorely missed.”

The Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series management team and competitors extend their condolences to the Bradshaw family, staff at YOKOHAMA and all who knew and worked with him.
