The Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series will return to South Australia in 2026 as part of the support category undercard for the bp Adelaide Grand Final next December.
The series most recently raced around the Adelaide Parklands Circuit in 2023 as a last-minute non-championship event, and again in 2024 as the final round of the championship which also marked the first time in history Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes ran a record-breaking 24-car maximum grid.
Reigning champion Adam Marjoram claimed his maiden series and career championship title at the Adelaide finale last November, and currently leads the 2025 championship by a close 15 points heading into the final round at Sandown Raceway this week. Yuasa Batteries Racing’s David Sieders sits second on the points table with Western Sydney Motorsport’s Cody Brewczynski is third.
South Australian Motor Sport Board CEO, Mark Warren said:“We’re stoked to welcome the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series back to our event in 2026. The V8 SuperUtes have always delivered very competitive, door crunching racing here in Adelaide and will add another layer of excitement for fans in what will be an incredible conclusion to the 2026 season at the bp Adelaide Grand Final.”
V8 SuperUtes Series Category Manager, Filippa Guarna said: “The bp Adelaide Grand Final is, hands down, one of the most exciting events on the calendar and the whole paddock is really excited to wrap up the 2026 season and crown our champion in front of the huge crowds there next year.
“South Australian fans are some of the most supportive in the country for the Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes. We have a great representation of SA-based competitors and partners in our paddock as well, so I know that racing in front of a home crowd will be important for them, too.”
The series is home to South Australian-based team Apogee Motorsport in Lonsdale, which fields the Rossi Johnson and Glen Melling Holden Colorado V8 SuperUtes, as well as supporting former Aussie Racing Car champion Adrian Cottrell who races for 3D SiteWorx, an SA-based company located in Mount Barker South.
The 2026 bp Adelaide Grand Final will be held from December 3-6, 2026, with more details on the full Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series calendar announced in the coming weeks.
All eyes are now on Round 6 at Sandown Raceway which will host the final round of this year’s championship from November 14-16, 2025.
