The Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series today announces a renewal of its naming rights partnership with Tyrepower, extending the agreement to at least the end of the 2027 season.
The largest independent tyre retailer in Australia with over 315 stores nationally, Tyrepower began its association with the national dual-cab motorsport series in October 2023. Since then, the Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes has grown to host a maximum 24-strong grid, new shareholder structure, revamped management team and is a mainstay of the support undercard to the Repco Supercars Championship.
“Since coming on board as naming rights partner at the end of 2023, we’ve seen first-hand both on and off the track how strongly the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series connects with Aussie motorsport fans and our independent dealer network across the country,” said Tyrepower General Manager, Rob Smith.
“The high level of good-natured competition, the drivers, the racing product and the alignment with the vehicles our customers drive every day continues to be a natural fit and that’s why Tyrepower is excited to extend this partnership for a further two years, through to the end of 2027.
“This category is continuing to grow, and we are proud to continue supporting the people who bring it to life, who much like us are community driven, locally connected, and committed to continually building on a proud motorsport heritage from the grassroots up,” concluded Smith.
Category Manager, Filippa Guarna, reinforced the strength of the partnership and welcomed the extension as the series continues to grow in leaps and bounds.
“We’ve been very appreciative of Tyrepower’s support and belief in our series as we continue developing our racing product into one of the most fan-favourite and entertaining series in the country,” said Guarna.
“The partnership with Tyrepower has really elevated our close connection to the automotive and aftermarket industries, and we’ve enjoyed visiting many stores across the dealer network over last two years; most of those being family businesses which is closely aligned with our family-friendly paddock and competitor base.
“We really look forward to working with Rob [Smith] and his team at Tyrepower for at least the next two years as we also expand our relationship with the hard-working Tyrepower stores around Australia,” concluded Guarna.
The 2025 championship is set to be decided at the grand finale this weekend at Sandown Raceway, on the outskirts of Melbourne. Team Motion Racing’s Adam Marjoram leads by a close 15-point margin ahead of Yuasa Batteries Racing’s David Sieders in second and Western Sydney Motorsport’s Cody Brewczynski third.
Track activity starts today Friday 14 November with practice at 8.30am AEDT, followed by qualifying and Race 1 later today. Four races will be contested in total through to Sunday afternoon when the 2025 champion will be crowned.
