DEFENDING CHAMPION DAVID SIEDERS LAUNCHES WEATHERTECH AUSTRALIA-BACKED TITLE CAMPAIGN

Reigning Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series champion David Sieders has officially launched his 2026 title defence with a new naming rights partner in WeatherTech Australia for this year’s six-round championship.

Following a dominant 2025 season that saw the Sydneysider claim his first national title in nine years, Sieders will enter the new season in front of a home crowd at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend (February 20-22) with increased involvement from WeatherTech Australia, which debuted as a minor partner at the final round last year in Victoria.

WeatherTech Australia General Manager, Matt Kay said the strengthened partnership reflects a shared commitment to excellence.

“WeatherTech Australia is pleased to announce its partnership with Sieders Racing for the 2026 Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series,” said Kay.

“This alliance reinforces our established relationship and creates an exciting opportunity to elevate brand awareness. At WeatherTech, performance, innovation and quality are at the core, and motorsport is the ultimate proving ground for those values. Collaborating with a leading V8 SuperUtes team gives us a dynamic platform to showcase WeatherTech.”

For Sieders, the launch marks the beginning of a new chapter as he prepares to defend the championship in his #1 WeatherTech Mazda BT-50 against what is expected to be the most competitive field to date.

“Winning the championship in 2025 was an incredibly proud moment for everyone involved in Sieders Racing,” said Sieders.

“To have WeatherTech Australia step up its support of our campaign in 2026 is a huge vote of confidence in our team. Their brand represents the highest standards of quality and performance, and those values align perfectly with how we operate as a motorsport business.

“We’re entering the new season with the same determination, professionalism, and hunger to succeed. The goal is clear — to defend the championship and continue delivering results both on and off the track.”

Two-Way Cranes also join the team this year along with returning sponsors Creative Signworx and Total Tools.

The opening round of the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series starts this weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park, February 20-22, 2026.
