APOGEE EXPANSION TO FOUR-CAR V8 SUPERUTES TEAM

Apogee Motorsport has announced an expanded driver line-up for the upcoming Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series round in Perth (June 6-8).

In addition to young gun Rossi “The Territorian” Johnson, the team welcomes Adrian “Kotty” Cottrell, Glen “The Terminator” Melling and Luke “Big Wheels” Webber in a technical alliance for the remainder of the 2025 season; Johnson currently sits 6th in the championship standings in the Shorebarge-sponsored #333 Holden Colorado.

Cottrell is no stranger to the Apogee Motorsport team having worked with the South Australian team on and off for the last few years to develop the teams’ Holden Colorados. The former Aussie Racing Cars champion is currently 10th in the championship and is eager to bounce back from his misfortunes in Tasmania.

Glen Melling will be driving the eye-catching Jasmat-sponsored #65 Holden Colorado, having only recently acquired the freshly rebuilt V8 SuperUte from George Gutierrez. Melling has the hometown advantage next weekend being a Perth local and having done hundreds of laps at CARCO.com.au Raceway. Melling joins the series for the first time since the Perth season-opener in 2023.

Luke Webber is another full-time addition to the team, seeing Apogee Motorsport looked after his #26 Mazda BT-50 at Round 1 of the 2025 season in Sydney back in February. Webber returns to the series after missing Tasmania.

Apogee Motorsport will not only be supporting four V8 SuperUtes in Perth, but will also be looking after five Toyota 86s in the TGRA Scholarship Series on the same weekend at Morgan Park in Queensland, making a total of nine cars in two different national categories across two different states.

Team partners include Jarvis Parts, SP Tools, IVE Group, Apogee Automotive, Check It Out Graphics and Revolution Racegear.
